Bond podiatry was formed in 2023 in the Durham area, covering County Durham, Middlesbrough, Great Ayton for home visits from a fully qualified podiatrist.
With a background in home care, Tyler goes above and beyond to ensure Bond podiatry recognises and implements person centered care. If your issue can be resolved in 1 visit, it will be. If you require a more regular visiting schedule then that can also be arranged. With home visits available for evenings and weekends, Bond podiatry fits around your lifestyle and your needs.
Tyler Bond is a HCPC registered podiatrist, with insurance from the Royal College of Podiatry. He has a background in healthcare and longed to work for the NHS. After spending some time working for the NHS, Tyler branched out and became an associate podiatrist for Lucy at Richardson podiatry, where he works alongside Lucy in a Darlington clinic. Here Tyler performs routine footcare as well as nail surgery. If you would prefer to see Tyler in a clinical setting, you can call Blacketts medical practice for an appointment within Richardson Podiatry, where Tyler will continue to work, on 01325 380640
Corns are a buildup of hard skin on a weight bearing area of the foot. Caused by repetative friction, these balls of skin become solid almost like a stone, and can be very painful to walk on. Bond podiatry will remove the hard skin from around the corn, as well as remove the corn itself, and give advice on footwear to try and avoid reoccurance.
Thickened nails can be caused by fungal infections, however they may also have been caused by either ill-fitting footwear, or trauma to the nail.
Thickened nails can cause embarassment to the patient, as well as the feeling of bruising to the top of the toe. this is caused by the additional pressure the thickened nail has caused. Bond podiatry are happy to use an electric file and reduce the thickness of the nail, making footwear more comfortable, and the patient more confident in the appearance of their toes!
Diabetic patients require professional care to their feet. This is because the foot is the most likely place for a diabetic to begin neuropathy (lack of sensation) which, for example if a corn were to appear, the patient would not feel it thus the beginning of some serious health implications. NHS England state that over 7,000 diabetes related amputations occur every year
Bond podiatry can offer reassurance and a professional ongoing treatment plan for patients with diabetes, with home visits on a regular 6 or 8 or even 10 week basis. This means if a problem does arise, your podiatrist will likely notice it first and be able to treat it before it becomes a serious issue.
